The ONE Thing That Unites Us All (Hint: Procrastination)

Kelly’s own story of resisting help — and what it finally took to act.

See something you recognize would be a good idea to do, but “put it on the back burner” or just don’t manage to do it?

I’ve struggled with promoting my business. I’d get a few good ideas and scribble them down — a good start — then hit a wall and stare at a blank page. My mind would travel a maze of ideas far more often than it would rest on a fully committed, fleshed-out piece. Mentors, colleagues, and my husband all encouraged me to get help. For quite a while, I didn’t.

Why do we do that?! Here’s what it took for me to finally act:

  • consistent quiet time using tools that calm and relax my nervous system (the nervous system is the basis for our behavior)
  • intentional self-inquiry on why I was resisting
  • a dear colleague saying, “You NEED to do this. Just do it.”
  • realizing my expertise is in the body — dance, Pilates, the nervous system, healthy alignment — not in doing everything myself

So I finally got help — and wow, what a difference. My coach gently kicked my butt: I MUST do this one thing or nothing will ever change.

What ONE thing do you know deep down you need to change — or nothing ever will? When that one thing is finally finding your peace and calm, I can help.

Ready to feel calmer in your body?

Let’s talk about where your body is right now, no pressure, no obligation.
